"Productive Life: market required skills for people with disabilities".

Where do people with disabilities work? Are employers of Chernihiv region ready to take them to working collectives? What vacancies are open for them? And where do such special people get the skills that will help them find the job they want? Discussion of this important topic will take place on November 16 in Chernihiv. Its initiator is Region charitable organization "Aratta". The meeting place is Aratta office, located at the following address: street. Stanislavsky str., 40. The beginning of the round table discussion is at 14.00.

We invite representatives of mass media and all interested persons!

- Supported by BEARR Trust Small Grants Scheme 2018 Our organization implements the project "Productive life: market required skills for people with disabilities", - Victoria Filatova, charity "Aratta" tells, "Since June of this year, we train our people having disabilities from 16 to 35 years in the following areas such as computer literacy, English language, hairdressing, manicure. Our goal is to help these people if we do not find a permanent job, at least to learn skills that will help them to earn their own money and to be full members of the society, to draw attention to this topic and to establish contacts with employers. We suggest creating a vacancy database and a database of people with disabilities who are want self-realization, can work and be useful.

Reference on the project

The project "Productive life: market required skills for people with disabilities" has short-term and long-term goals:

1. To provide people with mental and physical disabilities 16-35 years with skills needed in the labour market.

2. Carry out a series of educational activities aimed at empowering people with disabilities with basic knowledge on human rights and labour legislation.

3. Teaching people with disabilities skills needed in the labour market:

English language courses, hairdresser, PC user, manicure.

4. Professional realization of people with disabilities and ensuring their right to work and employment.
